Remembering our trustee Francois Tarisse

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear friend and Trustee, Francois Tarisse. On 21 January 2022, his family, friends and colleagues gather to celebrate the life of this kind, talented and generous man and we would like to offer our deepest sympathy.

Francois was a long term supporter of Bankside Open Spaces Trust, joining our Tate Community Garden Steering Group in 2004. From there Francois shared his love of the Bankside area by helping to organise and participate in corporate volunteering at the Tate Community Garden, Little Dorrit and Mint Street Parks, leading to regular volunteering at Diversity Garden before becoming a trustee in 2017. Always an active member of our board, Francois worked closely with our staff as Treasurer, continued to get his hands dirty in the gardens, and supported our community events.  

A positive, welcoming and talented member of our team, Francois will be greatly missed by all at Bankside Open Spaces Trust.
