Saying goodbye to our Trustee Mike Barnato

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of our dear Trustee Mike Barnato, Mike sadly and very suddenly passed away ahead of surgery for oesophagus cancer on 15 March.

A positive and supportive member of our Board, Mike was a real champion of Bankside Open Spaces Trust’s work. He also acted as a mentor to our staff team and became a source of advice and guidance. We will all greatly miss Mike’s uplifting stories and his reminders to focus on the positive side of life - his social media catchphrase of #thrivenotdive is one we can all hold in our minds in difficult times. Thank you Mike for your support and compassion, we will miss you.
