An Octavia Hill inspired community celebration

Held in the restored garden of Octavia Hill, social reformer and founder of the National Trust. The garden was created for the public in 1886. Our Winter Warmer is held in the spirit of public events Octavia put on in the late 19th Century. It is both a celebration of the garden and of all those who visit and enjoy the space throughout the year.

Also at our Winter Warmer:

We’ll be joined by Archbishop’s Park Gardening Club - bring some cash and buy some lovely local produce!

Helen from Archbishop’s Park, who runs the club says, “We’re a micro charity supporting the wellbeing of local people using the pleasurable tasks of nurturing plants and growing food. There’s a work experience programme to give young people with special needs a better chance to find entry level work or training. With several gardens at the park, we also have a pond and an apiary where volunteers encourage and support biodiversity. We’ll be selling some of our homemade jams and jellies to support our work in the community.”

We look forward to an evening of music, wreathmaking and merriment with our community!
