Blessings and Bards Sunday 21 July, 12.30-4pm, Crossbones Graveyard

The tenth Blessings and Bards takes place in July. The Dean of Southwark will perform his annual Act of Regret, Remembrance and Restoration to the Winchester Geese, and to offer a blessing for all the people, some 15,000 women, children, men, for whom Crossbones is their last resting place.

The Blessing is followed by local Bards offering songs, music and poetry session, led by Cunning Folk.

Blessings and Bards organisers

This event is organised and run by Jennifer Cooper, also known as Vigil Auntie, and Natalie Boatfield who lead and facilitate the monthly Crossbones Vigils on the 23rd of each month. These can be attended in person or online.

Jennifer is also running tours of Crossbones Graveyard and Garden of Remembrance later in the year on 22 August at 12pm.
