Bankside Open Spaces Trust is seeking a new Finance Trustee to join our Board and Finance Sub-Committee.
This is an opportunity to use your financial skills to support greener, healthier and more connected communities across Southwark and Lambeth.

BOST manages 16 parks and gardens used by more than one million visitors each year, alongside community programmes that support wellbeing, inclusion, environmental sustainability and access to nature in densely populated urban neighbourhoods.
We are due to start our multi million capital project involving both external works and a new sports hub at the Marlborough Sports Garden. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Steering Group.

We are looking for someone who can help strengthen our financial oversight and long term sustainability. You may have experience in finance, budgeting, accounting or financial management through your professional or voluntary work.
Previous trustee experience is not required.
We are particularly keen to hear from people from the Global Majority and those who are currently under represented on charity boards.
What the role involves
As a Trustee and Finance Sub-Committee member, you will:
- Support oversight of budgets, reserves and financial planning
- Review management accounts and financial reports
- Help ensure strong governance and effective decision making
- Contribute strategically to the future direction of BOST

Time commitment
- Board meetings: approximately 4–6 per year
- Finance Committee meetings: quarterly
