ARTIST OPEN CALL: SUPERGRAPHICS COMMISSION
Artist Open Call: Marlborough Sports Garden Supergraphics Commission
Location: Marlborough Sports Garden, London SE1
Artist fee: £10,000
Application deadline: Friday 13 November 2026
Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST) is seeking an artist to develop an ambitious, site-specific public artwork commission as part of the redevelopment of Marlborough Sports Garden in Southwark.
The Supergraphics Commission will transform key areas of the sports garden through bold, imaginative designs that celebrate the site’s identity, its communities and its role as an inclusive space for sport, play and wellbeing.
The selected artist will work collaboratively with BOST, the project architects and local communities to develop designs for a range of surfaces, including basketball courts, hoardings, shipping containers and other architectural features.
We welcome applications from artists and designers with experience or an interest in public art, large-scale graphics, illustration and community engagement.
The commission will also reflect BOST’s commitment to environmental sustainability and circular economy principles.
