Earth Raise 2026 – Plant skills. Grow careers. Transform lives.
BOST is taking part in Earth Raise 2026 with a fundraising target of £10,000.
The funding will contribute towards our award-winning Future Gardeners programme.
Future Gardeners provides free, accredited horticultural training, mentoring, and work experience for people facing barriers to employment.
Every donation helps someone gain confidence, skills, and a pathway into a green career while creating greener, healthier communities.
Skills shortage
UK horticulture faces a persistent skills shortage. There are still barriers to entry for people who are long-term unemployed, under-served, or unable to access traditional training. Urban communities also experience limited access to nature and green careers, contributing to health and wellbeing inequalities.
Double the difference

Every donation made during the campaign week can be matched, turning generosity into even greater impact.
A moment that matters
This is a time-limited opportunity that gives supporters a compelling reason to ‘act now before it’s too late’.
Donations raised beyond our match funding target are still counted as additional, unrestricted and unmatched income – meaning our campaign can continue to grow, even after we reach our goal.
Earth Raise will take place between Midday, Wednesday 22nd April (World Earth Day) to Midday, on Wednesday 29th April.
Throughout the campaign, every donation will be doubled. So, if you donate, £50, we will receive £100 and if you donate £1000, we will receive £2000.

From previous students
An impressive 76% of students end up in employment in the industry – here’s what some of them thought of the programme:
“I feel like this course has been excellent and really changed my life for the best. I have learned so much the past few months. I feel like no course I have done before has ever helped this much!” – Evelyn, Former Future Gardener student
“This course has opened so many doors to me, it was a perfect introduction to the world of horticulture, which I previously knew very little about. I have been introduced to a range of paths and opportunities within the industry.” – Marcia, Former Future Gardener Student
“Thank you so much for accepting me onto the Future Gardeners program, it’s such a valuable, irreplaceable course and you both work so hard. I definitely wouldn’t have been able to get a gardening job this quickly without your help!” – Niclola, Former Future Gardener Student
