MSG Community Stage - Bankside Open Spaces Festival 2024

Join us in Marlborough Sports Garden on 8 June 2024 from 12pm for community performances, dance workshops, sport, stalls and craft. All showcasing what’s wonderful about our Bankside community - that’s what Bankside Open Spaces Festival is all about!

Performances and dance workshops:

12:30pm - Elephant & Castle Choir: Local choir returns to charm us with their voices.

1:05pm - Jig and a Swig: Irish dancing performance and workshop - come and get jigging!

1:50pm - Rock Choir: contemporary choir singing unique vocal versions of classic and current pop & rock songs.

2:30pm - Some Voices: Original arrangements of popular songs, ranging from Bowie to Bjork, from Stevie Wonder to Stevie Nicks, from Folk to Hip Hop, and everything in between - all with a Some Voices twist.

3:10pm - London Soul Choir: An inclusive community choir - singing with soul!

3.50pm - Heart n Soul: We’re so excited to welcome Heart n Soul to BOSFest 24! This award-winning creative community and arts charity champion the power and talents of people with learning disabilities and autistic people. Together they making great art with imagination, love and trust.

4.30pm - Upside Down Dance School: Street dance performances and a chance to get moving too!

5.05pm - Niimei Cultural Group: These 11 Ghanaian artists were brought individually to England for their outstanding skills. Since the early 2000s they call London their home, are always in huge demand and continue to perform with various companies. They tour nationally and internationally, playing and recording Traditional Ghanaian Drumming and Dancing, highlife and afrobeat… but almost never altogether like this. They have now come together, great friends reuniting for the love, the joy, the celebration that is Ghanaian Drumming and Dancing. Come and share the rhythm!

5.35pm - South London Voices: Join this women’s community choir for a fun, upbeat song selection!

6.05pm - Nunhead Choir: Nunhead Community Choir is a fun, friendly group that just loves to sing. Songs include pop classics, show tunes and folk songs from all around the world, the majority arranged by talented musical director, Ben Swan.

6.35pm - Salsateca: Just Keep Dancing! Salsa workshop for everyone - just turn up and join in.
