Bankside Open Spaces Festival 2024 - Red Cross Garden
Red Cross Garden is our perfect dreamy festival chill out zone. This Victorian garden was created in 1886 by social reformer, and one of the three founders of The National Trust, Octavia Hill and now plays host to our buzzing bandstand stage at Bankside Open Spaces Festival - expect old time jazz, Americana, folk and alt-pop.
Soak up the music from one of the garden’s lawns, perhaps sipping on a cool drink from The Glad’s Pop-Up Bar, or be more creatively active - dance around the maypole or help artist Robin Whitmore complete a London Panorama Drawing. There’ll also be hands-on activities from local beekeepers Bee Urban and the ever informative Old Operating Theatre’s Herb Garrat.
Not to be missed at Red Cross Garden - celebrate 200 years of the RSPCA and meet representative Teresa who will be bringing along Aurora the cat for cuddles, and homemade toys for your furry friends!
